What Is It?

A chemical peel applies a controlled acid solution, commonly glycolic, salicylic, mandelic, or lactic acid depending on the skin concern being treated, to gently exfoliate the outer, dulled layer of skin. As that layer sheds, brighter and smoother skin underneath is revealed, and mild texture or pigmentation issues gradually improve.

Benefits

Brightens dull, tired-looking skin
Smooths rough texture
Helps control oil and mild acne
Fades mild sun spots and uneven pigmentation
Preps skin to better absorb other skincare products

Do’s

Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer for a few days after
Wear sunscreen religiously during and after your peeling course
Follow up with hydrating, barrier-supportive skincare

Don’ts

Avoid sun exposure and exfoliating actives (retinol, AHA, BHA) for several days after
Don't pick at any visible peeling skin, let it shed naturally
Avoid stacking other exfoliating treatments in the same week

Frequently Asked Questions

How often can I get a peel?

Typically every 2 to 4 weeks depending on peel strength and your skin's tolerance.

Will my skin visibly peel afterward?

It depends on the peel strength. Lighter peels cause little to no visible flaking; deeper peels may cause noticeable peeling for a few days.

Is it suitable for sensitive or acne-prone skin?

Yes, with the right peel strength chosen for your skin type during consultation.

How many sessions for pigmentation?

Most clients need a course of 4 to 6 sessions for visible improvement in pigmentation.
